Help us Leverage the Arts to Support Quality of Life

You Can Make a Difference
Traditional Arts Today connects people through artists and craftsmen to promote, teach and preserve traditional art practices while embracing new art forms of the people and cultures that call Southern Indiana home.
By selling the work of regional artists and offering a broad range of art classes, Traditional Arts Today creates connections and promotes quality of life. An attendee at a Creative Aging Program said, "It can be difficult for me to get out and socialize and this program made it so much easier. Thank you for your time and patience."
Traditional Arts Today operates out of a historic home where the work of local artists is showcased and local residents and tourists can to shop. Artists receive commissions from the sale of their work.
Last year we offered 63 art activities/classes for nearly 2000 members of the community. The arts activities develop imagination, build self-esteem, promote social engagement to combat loneliness, and engage people from diverse cultures.
Our work is important because it provides a counterpoint to the fast-paced, mass-production world by providing opportunities to express creativity which strengthens community connections and promotes quality of life.
